Results!

I have been working on this for the past two days, even though it might not show. It is my first attempt at making something though, so I hope some slack will be cut?

Visiting Freedom Farm

I am doing a story for a Swedish magazine about the differences between everyday stable-life here and there. Visited Freedom Farm in Port Angeles yesterday and it was a gorgeous day. Ended up doing a bunch of interviews and then staying to groom some horses... Wonderful way to spend the day. They practice natural horsemanship, so they strive to be as natural as possible. Can you see how the horses are allowed to walk around however they please? You would think it would cause problems, but horses are so calm and happy. I loved the vibe and will try to be back.

Carlsborg, animal shelter

We are in the process of becoming foster parents to a dog from the animal shelter. Went there with coordinator Paula, who lives in Carlsborg with her seven dogs, five cows and a great view of the mountains.

Building project!

I am excited to get to cross another thing from my list - building something. I don't know if this is a particularly big thing to build, but it's a start.

It all originated from us being in desperate need of a stand-alone coat rack. There is no place in our hallway for one to put on the wall, and right now our coats are all over the place and it is driving me mad.

Went around town, to all the stores that might have one, and they all turned me down. Then I came to a thrift store where the guy was super eager to please me and help me make something out of the stuff he had in the backyard. Since I didn't want anything fancy, he got a 4 by 4 and some smaller pieces of wood (I don't even know what they are called, that's how good a builder O am) and put it together for me. Now all I have to do is sandpaper it down, paint it, and put some hooks on it!

It will probably take a while.
