Woke up twice during the night to feed the puppies. They are two week old lab/shepard mixes, but their mom could only feed three of them. So the rest are bottle fed. This involves making formula, burping them and being peed on. Changed my shirt four times today after a sneak attack. I guess this is what having a baby around is like, only we have more than just one!
The weather was beautiful, sunny and a clear blue sky. A neighbor girl called and asked if I wanted to go for a long trail ride - and boy, did I ever. We spent three hours out in the forest, had some really good lopes and spent some time with a whole family of bold eagles.
Got back, went for a walk with Jon and hung out with the puppies.
Now: Some nice red wine, watching Downton Abbey w Jon, having a grandma Elsa style omelette w fresh eggs from the neighbor.
A perfect Saturday? I don't see how it could be any better.
