Alright, I gotta rant a little bit:
Dog shows up on woman's doorstep w nine puppies. She only seems to want to care for three of them. The rest are given away to various colleagues to be bottle fed, just so that they can make it. Two of them can't find homes, and are given to us.
Two weeks later, we get asked if we can care for the entire litter, including mummy who seems to be producing a lot of milk. After thinking about it, we say yes and six of the puppies are given a new home in our mud room. The bottle fed puppies weigh less than half of the siblings who have been with their mom, but they are slowly catching up and having a great time playing with each other.
However, three of the puppies are STILL with the co-workers, who refuse to give them up because they are "their" dogs now. Despite ALL the evidence pointing to how important it is for puppies to be with their siblings and their mom at this point in their lives. Because of their selfish, ignorant behaviour, they are going to end up with three dogs that are more likely to have problems with aggression and socialization.
In four weeks, they could get them back as healthier, happier pupps, but they are just too damn stupid to realize it.
Am I crazy, or is that just really unaccaptable behaviour?
